HARDWOOD INSTALLATION

Hardwood & Cork Installation

Before any of the installation work begins, one of our installation professionals will visit your home to take measurements and get a feel for the space. During this appointment, make sure to ask any questions you may have about the process or the installation timeline. In general, once the installation has begun, that area will be off limits until the installation is complete, so keep this in mind when planning ahead.

A few days before the installation, the planks will be left to acclimate to the temperature and moisture conditions of your home. This is key to a proper installation. Before the installers arrive on installation day plan to have all the furniture and anything else in the room moved out or cleared away, unless you have made specific arrangements for the installers to do this part of the job.

Once the installation starts, expect there will be lots of noise and dust, despite the best efforts of our installers to limit any inconvenience. Any issues with the subfloor will be dealt with first, and then our installers will move on to laying the hardwood.

Our installers may advise you to stay off your new floor for a short time to let everything settle and dry. Before you move the furniture and appliances back into place and reorganize the room, consider placing floor protectors underneath anything that will come in direct contact with the floor to avoid scratches or indentations.
